Melissa Lugo

Melissa Lugo

Melissa Lugo is the Office Manager and Executive Assistant at Gallatin Capital LLC. Prior to joining Gallatin, Ms. Lugo was a legal assistant at Fox Rothschild LLP, a mid-sized law firm, working in the Bankruptcy department. Ms. Lugo worked closely with a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee, where she drafted legal documents, filed them electronically with the United States Bankruptcy Court, and scheduled court hearings with Bankruptcy Judges’ Chambers.

Ms. Lugo graduated from Hunter College with a B.A in Communications.

Dana Aden

Dana Aden

Dana Aden is the Chief Operating Officer and Financial Operations Principal at Gallatin Capital LLC and is responsible for compliance and the firm’s operations. She has been with the firm since its inception in January 2003. From June 2001 to April 2003 Mrs. Aden was at Moore Capital working closely with the investor relations and business development teams. Prior to Moore Capital, Mrs. Aden worked as a sales associate on the institutional sales desk at Merrill Lynch. In that capacity, she assisted the head of the institutional sales trading desk with trade operations and client relationships.

Mrs. Aden received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado. She also holds a Series 7, Series 63, Series 27 and Series 24 professional registrations.

Jennifer Tamis

Jennifer Tamis

Jennifer Tamis is a Partner of Gallatin Capital. She joined Gallatin in July 2007 as a Director and in July 2009 was promoted to Partner. From July 2003 to June 2007, Ms. Tamis worked at Van Eck Global as a Director for Investor Relations and Business Development for their institutional sales effort. At Van Eck Global, Jennifer covered ERISA investors, consultants, endowments and foundations, asset allocators and family offices globally. Ms. Tamis joined Van Eck Global after spending two years at JPMorgan where she successfully completed the Private Bank Associate Training Program and then rotated into JPMorgan Fleming Institutional Asset Management Marketing team. From 1993 to 2000, Jennifer worked at the Soros Foundations/Open Society Institute where she developed and administered educational programs for students in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

Ms. Tamis graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  She was sponsored by the Soros Foundation to earn her Master’s in International Affairs with a concentration in international finance from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

Ms. Tamis is a current member of the national Board of Directors for New York City based A Better Balance where she serves as the Board Treasurer.

Tony Buscemi

Tony Buscemi is a Partner of Gallatin Capital LLC. Prior to co-founding Gallatin Capital in May 2003, Mr. Buscemi was at Moore Capital Management with responsibilities in client services and new business/product development. Mr. Buscemi joined Moore Capital after working closely with the firm in his prior position as Vice President of the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group within Chase Manhattan Bank’s Securities Division. In that capacity, he was responsible for executing domestic and cross border private placements for both insurance companies and investment management firms. Mr. Buscemi joined Chase in 1991 as an Associate in its Global Trade Finance Group and was promoted to Vice President in 1995 after completing Chase’s Associate Development and Credit Analyst training programs.

Mr. Buscemi earned his Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Finance, from the Stern Graduate School of Business at New York University, he was sponsored by Chase’s Senior Management for the Executive MBA Program. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan.

Mr. Buscemi is a current member of the Board of Directors, and current Vice President, of AIMSE, a non-profit organization focused on professional development for investment management sales executives.  In 2020, Mr. Buscemi began a four-year mentorship of a promising New York City high school student through Student Sponsor Partners (SSP).  Mr. Buscemi is also a non-resident member of the Detroit Athletic Club in Detroit, Michigan.

John Youngblood

John Youngblood

John L. Youngblood is the Managing Partner of Gallatin Capital LLC and has been responsible for all aspects of the operation and supervision of the Firm’s business since its founding in early 2003. From early 2000 until Gallatin’s spin off and founding, he was a Managing Director of Moore Capital Management, a New York based private investment manager of hedge funds and other alternative investment vehicles, where he was responsible for the business development and client services groups.

From 1991 thru early 2000, Mr. Youngblood was a Managing Director of JP Morgan Chase, serving as Group Head of Private Placements and Structured Securities since 1993. His team was responsible for the private placement of domestic and cross-border debt and equity securities as well as the collateralized loan and bond obligation businesses.  He also served on the Commitment Committee for the Investment Banking Division. Before joining Chase, he was a Director in the Private Financing Group at Prudential Securities, Inc.

Mr. Youngblood began his career at Lehman Brothers where he handled all aspects of private placements and investment banking projects for energy, utility and other companies as an Associate and later a Vice President.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton College and a Masters of Management degree, Beta Gamma Sigma, from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.  Mr. Youngblood is Chairman of the Board of Directors of PivotalPath LLC, Chairman of the Investment Committee and on the Board of Trustees of Carleton College and a member of the Board of Directors for the Kent Memorial Library in Kent, CT.
